The West Highland Way takes walkers through some of Britain's most dramatic scenery — the banks of Loch Lomond, the vast open expanse of Rannoch Moor, the rocky descent of the Devil's Staircase, and the final push through Glen Nevis. Terrain varies constantly: hard-packed paths, loose rock, wet grassland, river crossings and exposed Highland ridges.
